1.new is operated by Future Version Limited,
the data controller responsible for the limited information described below.
In plain English
1.new is a shortcut launcher. We do not offer visitor accounts, collect names or email addresses, use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or track people across websites.
Information processed
Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested page, request time, and security logs. This is used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
We use self-hosted Umami analytics at events.1.new to
understand aggregate use. Umami does not set analytics cookies or track you across unrelated
websites. It may process the page viewed, referrer, browser, operating system, device type,
screen size, language, approximate country, and the shortcut path you select (for example,
/doc). A temporary anonymous session hash is derived from technical request
information; we do not use it to identify you or connect it to a name, email address, or
account. Admin pages are not included in analytics. Recent shortcut selections are combined
into anonymous aggregate popularity scores that gently influence tile ordering; favourites
always remain under your control.
When you choose a shortcut, 1.new redirects you to a separate service. That destination receives your visit and handles it under its own privacy terms.
Some shortcuts may be sponsored and are clearly labelled. Sponsored tiles use the same anonymous aggregate click measurement as every other shortcut; sponsorship does not add cookies, visitor profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Cookies and local storage
Public visitors receive no analytics or advertising cookies. If you change the colour theme or favourite shortcuts, those choices are stored locally in your browser so the site can remember them. They are not sent to us. If you install 1.new as an app, your browser also caches the app's public files for reliable loading; those files contain no personal information. Clearing 1.new's site data removes the saved theme, favourites and cached app.
Why we process this information
We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure service, preventing abuse, understanding aggregate usage, and improving 1.new. We limit this processing to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Providers and transfers
We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for shortcut configuration and aggregate popularity scores, and Umami for cookieless analytics. These providers process only the information needed to perform their services. Some processing may take place outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on an applicable adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual safeguards for restricted transfers.
Retention
Technical security and hosting logs are retained according to provider settings and only for as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, and troubleshooting. Anonymous analytics are periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer needed to understand service trends. Shortcut configuration is kept while the service remains active.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our use of your personal information. Contact us to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this notice when the service changes. The date above will show the latest revision.
